By creating a login on www.FACTS.org, your high school transcript and test scores will become available to you. You will be able to verify that you have completed the requirements (and that the computer sees it as such).
On the FACTS.org webpage, select:
When should I apply for Bright Futures?
The application is open to all seniors December 1st. Even if you have not met all requirements yet, you may still submit your application. This is recommended because the application is also the same application for Florida State Financial Aid and Scholarships.
The Polk County School Board district office will automatically update you application as your GPA changes, test scores or community service, etc. is added.
How do I apply?
The application is only available online:
http://www.floridastudentfinancialaid.org/SSFAD/home/uamain.htm
After I apply, how do I check my status?
From the menu bar, choose Application Status & Award History, and then under Initial Student Status, Renewal Students Status, or Reinstatement/Restoration Application for Students Status, select the appropriate option. Log in using your User ID and PIN to access information on the status of your award.
