Scholarships Offered Directly from Your College

How do I get scholarships from my college?

Sometimes colleges will automatically offer you a scholarship based on academic merit, financial need, or both from the information you provided on your college application and/or FAFSA.   This is another reason it is important to apply to college early, before all scholarships are given away.   

There are also other scholarships offered by the college that you must apply for seperately.  Check your college's Financial Aid section on their website to see what is available.  Additionally, you may check the individual college within your university that your major is classified under (example: College of Business, or Liberal Arts College) to see if they offer scholarships specifically for your major that may not be listed on the main financial aid page.
