What: Haines City Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program invites selected Juniors to participate in monthly leadership experiences at local companies around the Polk County. The Program ends with a 4 day all expense paid trip to Tallahassee to participate in government activities.

What is it? An all expense paid trip to Washington DC sponsored by Adam Putnam. Participate in govenment activities.
How is the nominee selected? 1. All eligible students may complete the Student Parent Consent form (page 5 of the application) to agree to the 3 mandatory dates, due {Deadline TBA}
2. Those students names will be placed on a ballot that the junior students will vote.
3. The top 3 votes will complete the entire application at the time.
4. The 3 applications will be sent to Congressman Putnam's office, and the applicants will be required to interview. From the 3 interviews, they will select 1 winner from our school to participate in the program.

Requirements: 9-11 grade; eligible for free or reduced lunch and/OR first generation college student (neither parent has received bachelor's degee); must plan to get a 4 year college degree
What is it? Upward Bound consists of Saturday activities twice a month during the regular academic year, and a six-week intensive academic and cultural enrichment program during the summer.
Activities include travel, college tours, guest speakers, college admission and financial aid counseling. Earn money for participating!!
