The NCAA verifies that all incoming student-athletes meet a prescribed level of academic performance while maintaining their amateur status before entering college.
In easy terms, applying to the NCAA Clearinghouse verifies to colleges and coaches that:
· you have taken enough academic courses
· your GPA is high enough
· your SAT or ACT scores are high enough
· you have followed the set guidelines and rules pertaining to the recruiting process
