Being recruited to play college sports is more than just athletic ability. It takes all of the following:
Grades
Ability
Motivation
Exposure
Many universities and colleges are reserving their scholarships for sophomores in high school. Although some recruiters may come to you, most have never even heard of you, and it is your job to let them know who you are and that you are interested to play for them. However, your first job should be becoming familar with the rules of the NCAA-- because if you do not make the grade, you are not going to play.
